Since 2015 ITD has been working in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts to provide a Business and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp to participants of the prestigious Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera, a private university in El Salvador. The interactive and applied program is integrated into the University’s curriculum and offers second- and third-year business and marketing students an opportunity to explore the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship from a U.S. perspective. Through an intensive two-week program based in Massachusetts, students spend part of their time learning from leading academics and successful business entrepreneurs and the other part immersed in local businesses. Through carefully designed internships, students gain insight about the actual functioning of start-ups while applying their skills to help their selected host overcome a specific challenge.
