On June 6th 2024, I visited Easthampton High School. I learned a lot of good things such as: teaching strategies, well-prepared teachers, preparing students for their future, and a healthy atmosphere in school.
First of all, teaching methods are vital in pedagogy and always updated. In Easthampton High School, teachers are well-known for strategies that match the students’ needs. Obviously, teachers catch up with the new strategies and have adequate knowledge of technology as well. That leads us to how we hire great teachers for our school to match future demands and to ensure successful processes in school. Moreover, I assume teachers’ autonomy is a milestone that leads to determined outcomes.
Secondly, all education systems are concerned about outcomes. As a matter of fact, outcomes are highly linked to what is given during the school day. I am impressed by how junior students lead a cohort of great teachers in a professional way, answer all questions, give and express their opinions confidently. Apparently, the well-procedure of the school -administrative and teachers- is workable and effective. They share and are concerned about the same goals.
Thirdly, behind every successful work, there is a healthy environment. This is what I have seen clearly when I visited the school. There is a great rapport between teachers and their students based on mutual respect and love. This is one of the crucial elements of a healthy environment.
Wrapping that up, a healthy environment, various strategies used by professional teachers and well-educated students are the real recipe behind all success at Easthampton High School. That triangle leads to success and matches students’ needs in the future.
It was great to be there.
Thank you #ITD for such a great opportunity.
