Sharing Research Ideas and Achievements in Academia
By Rania Pasha, Egypt
Today was one of those rare days that leaves an unforgettable mark on one’s academic journey. As an academic and researcher in Finance, I had the privilege of presenting a research idea close to my heart to a diverse group of professionals and researchers from around the globe. I presented to the SUSI 2024 scholars. In addition, I attended the presentations of the other scholars who shared their research directions. The setting was exciting and knowledgeable—where ideas flowed freely, each conversation enriching my perspective.
The morning began with anticipation as I prepared to present my research on one of the recent sustainability topics that gained the world’s attention nowadays. The room buzzed with intellectual curiosity, attendees from various backgrounds nodding thoughtfully as I navigated through my research background and methodology. Their discussions were analytical yet encouraging, challenging me to delve deeper into my methodology and research implications. It was a validating experience, affirming that my research was not only relevant but also resounded with experts in the field.
Following the presentation, the day transitioned seamlessly into a collaborative session with my podcast team—a passionate group dedicated to exploring the impact of digitalization in attaining sustainability. We had spent two weeks meticulously planning and recording episodes, and today marked the culmination of our efforts. The evening was filled with energetic discussions as we finalized the editing of our latest podcast episode. It was more than just a completion of technical details; it was the realization of a collective vision—a podium where our opinions could intensify critical insights to a wider audience regarding digital transformations in the financial, agricultural, and educational fields.
Reflecting on the day’s events, it became evident that SUSI program had not only provided a platform for academic discourse but also fostered a sense of companionship among compatible professionals and academics. The diversity of perspectives emphasized the richness of our collective knowledge. Each interaction, whether during the presentation or the podcast editing session, reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing economic and financial discourse.
As the day drew to a close, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment mingled with gratitude. The opportunity to engage with esteemed professionals and dedicated peers had strengthened my passion for research and teaching. It was a reminder of why I chose this path—to contribute meaningfully to the academic community and beyond.
