Read More of the prestigious Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera, a private university in El Salvador. The interactive and applied program is integrated into the University’s curriculum and offers second- and third-year business and marketing students an opportunity to explore the concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship from a U.S. perspective. Through an intensive two-week program based in Massachusetts, students spend part of their time learning from leading academics and successful business entrepreneurs and the other part immersed in local businesses. Through carefully designed internships, students gain insight about the actual functioning of start-ups while applying their skills to help their selected host overcome a specific challenge. Read More Education (Nuffic) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, ITD carried out three different teacher exchange programs from 2015 through 2017. The goals of the two-week, Massachusetts-based programs were to provide the Dutch teachers with an overview and a hands-on experience of the education system in the U.S., and foster lasting professional relationships between Dutch and U.S. educators. Step Up

“STEP-UP” stands for “Sustain, Train, Educate and Promote in Uganda”. ITD supports STEP-UP as an organized effort taking place in Northern Uganda that was initiated ... Read More in 2010 by western Massachusetts area health and social work professionals. The purpose of the organization is to offer medical and psycho-social capacity building in the part of Uganda which continues to suffer from the effects of a 20-year armed conflict. The U.S. professionals work in partnership with their Ugandan colleagues through the in-country non-governmental organization called SUU (STEP-UP UGANDA). STEP-UP and SUU offer training and consultation to professionals and community members. STEP-UP is an independent organization under the auspices of ITD. ITD is a section 501(c)3 nonprofit; any donations to STEP-UP may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes. Read Less
