Through a collaborative agreement with the Fulbright Center of the Netherlands and with sponsorship from the Dutch Organization for Internationalization in Education (Nuffic) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, ITD carried out three different teacher exchange programs from 2015 through 2017. The goals of the two-week, Massachusetts-based programs were to provide the Dutch teachers with an overview and a hands-on experience of the education system in the U.S., and foster lasting professional relationships between Dutch and U.S. educators. In this immersive program Dutch teachers were assigned individually or in pairs to different elementary and secondary schools throughout Massachusetts.
