ITD’s Professional Fellows Program on Civic Engagement brings passionate young leaders from Morocco, Jordan and Israel to the U.S. to participate in four-week fellowships with organizations engaged in different aspects of civic participation. Participants gain practical and professional skills that can be applied to their home communities, while also building long-term professional relationships. The program culminates with a leadership conference in Washington, DC called the Professional Fellows Congress. The three-day leadership skills and networking event involves 300 Professional Fellows from around the world. Once home, fellows implement individual projects based on their U.S. fellowship experience. About six months later U.S. counterparts who have hosted international fellows then travel to one of the three countries for participant-driven reciprocal programs.
