Study of the U.S. Institutes
The Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) are academic programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Since it began in 2008, ITD has hosted thousands of student and academic leaders through the program. SUSIs are five- to six-week academic programs focusing on topics in U.S. studies for groups of international undergraduates, scholars, and teachers. ITD’s programs include an intensive academic residency, an educational study tour to another region of the United States, and opportunities for participants to engage with American peers. Institutes for Student Leaders also include community service activities and leadership development.
