On September 24, 2020 ITD staff came together with 17 students and three teachers from Myanmar for a virtual meet and greet session. This session marked the first in a series of five being offered this fall season to bridge the gap between the cancelled spring 2020 program, and the spring 2021 program. Participants have engaged in asynchronous and synchronous learning opportunities examining topics such as youth leadership, assessment of community assets and needs, and the impact of networking. Their collaboration around these themes has fostered their ability to build relationships with one another and has showcased the participants’ enthusiasm, participation, and thoughtful thinking.
